Tips for a Successful Fundraising Campaign
Make the most of your gourmet coffee fundraiser!
Establish Goals
Know how much money you would like to raise. Calculate how many coffee bags each
of your members must sell in order to achieve your overall goal.
Reward Your Members
Have a party or other reward for all members who achieve their individual sales
goals. You can have different levels of prizes. For example, a pizza party for those
who sell 10 or more bags and a bowling and video game party for those who sell 30
or more bags.
Online Selling
Encourage your members to take advantage of our online
selling program.
Selling Period
Have a definite selling period with a specific end date. The selling period should
be 2 or 3 weeks. A 17 day selling period beginning on a Friday and ending on a Monday
is ideal, giving your members two full weeks and three weekends to take orders.
Hold a Kickoff Meeting
Assemble your members before your campaign begins. Tell them about their individual
sales goals and about the awards for achieving and exceeding their goals. Encourage
them to register for online selling.
At your kickoff meeting, hand out selling brochures, order forms and collection
envelopes. You should also provide each seller with printed information about sales
goals and rewards, order turn-in date, online selling instructions, etc. You can
download sample materials here.
Put a Link On Your Website
If your organization has a website, let your visitors know that they can support
your organization by ordering gourmet coffee from FundraisingCafe.com. We will provide
you with a link for your website so that your organization will receive a portion
of the proceeds of each order placed via your link.
